More than just a space to work…

19 Apr 09 Manifesto

Business is hard. Small business is even harder. CoWorking Melbourne aims to bridge the gap by providing small businesses, freelancers, entrepreneurs and students with the creative, social and technical tools they need to get started and stay on track.

CoWorking Melbourne is more than just a physical ’space’, it’s a community. A community of individuals and small groups bouncing ideas off each other; accessing each others’ skills bases; motivating each other and just generally socialising in what can otherwise be a lonely profession.

Our goal in establishing CoWorking Melbourne is to create the best possible community for those passionate about starting and growing their own businesses - whether their eventual goal is a profitable freelance career, a small business, startup or large business of their own.

CoWorking Melbourne is about:

  • shared inspiration and passions
  • bright, lively space for your mind to flourish
  • the tools and resources you need to be productive
  • forming social networks and making friends
  • learning from each other
  • sharing
  • dynamic business
  • reduced cost
  • innovation

CoWorking Melbourne is NOT about:

  • glitzy offices
  • massive atriums
  • “prestigous business address”
  • fancy board rooms
  • Eames furniture
  • Receptionists
  • Stuffy air
  • Stuffy people
  • Dark and dingy
  • Being a loner
  • Lengthy commutes
  • Working in your PJs

Stay tuned for more of the CoWorking Melbourne Manifesto.

N.B. CoWorking Melbourne is a working title and will be changed prior to launch.
